Ms. Broido Johnson is an advisor and board member of Sunrock. Ms. Broido Johnson is a senior operations executive and entrepreneur with a proven track record in creating and managing successful businesses and products in the clean energy space. She co-founded SunEdison in 2003 with Jigar Shah, which grew to the world’s largest solar energy services provider with a $10 billion market cap and 7,200 employees by 2015. She was asked to join the Department of Energy as Energy Efficiency Advisor to Secretary Steven Chu in 2009, then given responsibility to manage the Office of Weatherization and Intergovernmental Programs in 2009-2010 ($11 billion deployment). Ms. Broido Johnson ran the University System of Maryland Momentum Fund from 2019-2022 which provides investment funding for promising technology ventures born out of University System of Maryland’s 12 constituent institutions. Ms. Broido Johnson is currently President of CBJ Energy, a financing, operations, and business development energy solutions firm headquartered in Baltimore. She was most recently COO of Fermata Energy, a startup that enables integration of electric vehicles with buildings and the grid.
